Looking South from Neahkhanie Mountain in Nehalem, Oregon, provides breathtaking views of the Oregon coast and the Coastal Range. The mountain stands over 1600 feet above the ocean. The summit is reached on a 3 mile roundtrip hike from the south side or a bit longer hike from the north. Named by the Indians as the place of (Ne) supreme deity (Ekhanie) it shows the wonders of the Oregon coast like no other place. This image is stitched from five horizontal images. |
